Kihi

The first traditional pie famous for its name and taste comes from Kozani and, of course, from alfa pastry: an original, spiral-shaped pie “kneaded” in the tradition of good-old housewives of Kozani. Made with crispy, country-style dough, kneaded with virgin olive oil and filled with natural and premium ingredients! It comes with a baking pan for easy, healthy and perfect baking (top and bottom).

Kihi with cheese

Traditional "kihi" pie from Kozani with cheese. It stands out for its extra virgin olive oil, its P.D.O. feta cheese and its unique, spiral shape. You have another reason to love it: its taste!

INGREDIENTS

Wheat flour, myzithra-cheese 29% : (pasteurized cow, goat and sheep's milk-whey, salt), water, cottonseed oil 10%,Feta PDO cheese 6%: (goat and sheep's milk, salt, microbial rennet, lactic acid bacterial culture), contains less than 2%: (corn starch, extra virgin olive oil 1.3% , salt, wheat semolina , dextrose). Produced in a factory that uses mustard, sesame, peanuts, tree nuts, celery, soy products and eggs. 

BAKING INSTRUCTIONS

Preheat the oven to 180°C-200°C (355-390°F). Remove only the paper top of the package and place the kihi pie in the oven in its paper baking tray on the middle shelf of your oven. Bake the kihi pie for approximately 40 minutes (depending on the performance of your oven) until it turns golden brown. NOTE: Not suitable for microwave cooking - To cook more than one tray simultaneously, the oven must have a hot air system!

Lenten kihi pie with spinach

Who said that fasting is tasteless? The lenten “kihi” pie with spinach, made in the tradition of old households and with the care of by alfa pastry, is the delicious lenten proposal from Kozani so that we can fast enjoyably!

INGREDIENTS

Wheat flour, water, spinach 24%, vegetable oils (cottonseed oil),contains less than 2%: ( semolina, onion, extra virgin oil 1,5%, salt, dextrose, corn starch). Produced in a factory that uses mustard, sesame, nuts, soy products, dairy products and egg.

Preheat the oven to 180°C-200°C (355-390°F). Remove only the paper top of the package and place the kihi pie in the oven in its paper baking tray on the middle shelf of your oven. Bake the kihi pie for approximately 40 minutes (depending on the performance of your oven) until it turns golden brown. Kihi pie with kasseri & gruyere

The secret is art and art is the secret! So, we at alfa pastry make the “kihi” pie with kasseri and gruyere following the art of local Kozani cuisine.

INGREDIENTS

Wheat flour, water, cottonseed oil, bechamel powder(modified starch E1414, milk proteins, vegetable fat (palm oil),skimmed milk , salt, thickener: sodium alginate, flavor enhancer: monosodium glutamate E261, flavorings), Gouda cheese (pasteurized cow's milk,salt, lactic acid bacteria, rennet), Semi-hard cheese (pasteurized cow's milk, salt, rennet, lactic acid bacteria), maize starch, extra virgin olive oil 1.5%, Gruyere cheese 1.5% (pasteurized cow's milk, salt, lactic acid bacteria, rennet), Feta cheese (goat’s and sheep's milk, salt, rennet, lactic acid bacteria), Kasseri cheese 1% (goat's and sheep's milk, salt, rennet, lactic acid bacteria), parmesan 1%( pasteurized cow's milk, rennet, preserative: egg lysozyme), wheat semolina, salt, dextrose. Produced in a factory that uses mustard, sesame, nuts, soy.

Produced in a factory that uses mustard, sesame, nuts, soy products, celery and egg.

For those who have a... weakness for vegetables, this pie is ideal! The traditional, Kozani Kihi pie is combined perfectly with the aromatic and tasty leek but also with the rich alfa cheese!

Wheat flour, leek 19%, water, myzithra-(whey cheese) 12%: (pasteurized cow, goat and sheep's milk whey, salt), cottonseed oil, Feta PDO cheese 2.5%: (pasteurized goat and sheep's milk, salt, rennet, lactic acid bacteria culture). Contain less than 2%: onion, corn starch, extra virgin olive oil 1.3% , salt, wheat semolina , dextrose. Produced in a factory that uses mustard, sesame, tree nuts (walnuts, hazelnuts), celery, soy products and eggs.
