Mini syrop apple pies with apple juice, syrop and cinnamon

Using alfa's favorite politiko pastry sheet, we make the most delicious mini syrop apple pies with apple juice and cinnamon!

Ingredients

  • 9 sheets alfa's politiko pastry sheet
  • 1,5 kg apples
  • 2 tb butter
  • 2 tb brown sugar
  • 1 ts ground cinnamon
  • 1 tb vanilla extract ή 4 pinches vanilla powder
  • SYROP'S INGREDIENTS
  • 450 gr crystal sugar
  • 400 gr apple juice - from the drained apples γρ υγρά -το χυμό μήλου που θα πάρουμε από τη συνταγή και το υπόλοιπο νερό
  • POLITIKO PASTRY SHEET'S SPRINKLE
  • 100 gr butter
  • 100 gr olive oil

Execution

  1. Remove the apples' skin and grate them to the thick side of the grater
  2. Put the in a large drainer with a bowl underneath. Draine them. Keep the apple juice aside
  3. For the filling: Melt the butter in low heat. Add the drained apples, sugar, ground cinnamon and the vanilla. Stir  until butter is absorbed. Let it aside to cold.
  4. For the syrop: Pour all the ingredients (sugar and apple juice) into a saucepan. When it starts boiling, let it boil for 8 minutes. Remove from the stove and let it cool.
  5. Melt the butter with the olive oil, for greasing
  6. On a politiko pastry sheet, grease with the butter and the olive oil mixturte. Repeat with the two more politiko pastry sheets, by greasing the between each sheet. Repeat the same action two more times.
  7. Split the fiiling into three parts. Place 1/3 of the feeling in each politiko pastry greased sheets. Turn inside the edges of the greased pastry sheets and roll. 
  8. Place the tree rolls into a tray and cut the into smaller rolls, approximately 6 cm each mini roll.
  9. Pour the rest of the butter-olive oil mixture. Bake for 25'-35' or until golden brown at 180οC
  10. Take the tray of the oven. While it is still hot, pour the cold syrop. Let it absorb the syrop.
